Signs of easing with two weak developments expected

From west to east;

IOTA has dissipated leaving behind as yet unknown impact on central America, we have no named storm across the reporting region for only the fifth time in a month – a month usually seen as one of easing up on tropical development.

Disturbance Sixty Four has clearly shaped up as an area of low pressure off northern Colombia. This is expected to move slowly to the west-sou’west before running ashore near the border of Costa Rica and Nicaragua overnight on Sunday. I have less hesitation adding ‘harmlessly’, as things stand.

An area of low pressure is expected to take shape between the Bahamas and Bermuda overnight on Sunday which has some potential to develop tropical characteristics but is still expected to clear the eastern seaboard and disappear in the murk of the north Atlantic winter.

Stand easy.
