From west to east:
Disturbance Fifty Four is now 660 miles to the north-east of Puerto Rico moving safely seaward a touch north of east at 18 knots. This is rather disorganised and has no development prospects as it is likely to be swept up by an eastbound front later today.
Disturbance Fifty Six has piped up three days steaming west of the Cape Verde Islands moving west at 8 knots. Environmental conditions ahead are only marginally favourable as things stand. For now.
