Lone disturbance causing foul weather in North Atlantic
Disturbance Fifty Eight is now centred around 400 miles south of Nova Scotia, slowly moving east. This has yet to develop tropical or sub-tropical characteristics but is nonetheless a powerful storm causing gale force winds across a significant area. This will turn to the south-east over the next day or two and may yet develop tropical characteristics and become a named storm over the weekend or early next week.
Aside from foul weather in the north-west Atlantic, stand easy.
