Sand continuing to hamper developments at sea.

| Storm Report 2022

Disturbance Sixteen is almost ashore as it approaches the southern Mosquito Coast of Nicaragua, westbound at 18 knots. Aside from a few thunderstorms and heavy rain, this won’t develop now.

Disturbance Eighteen is now centred around one day’s steaming out of the Cape Verde Islands headed west at 18 knots. This is expected to gather speed across the tropical Atlantic before moving into the Leeward Islands on Saturday before turning slightly north into the northern part of the central Caribbean. Sand is being drawn into the convection cycle and development is not expected.

Stand easy.
