Sand and convection in Atlantic Mexican stand-off.

| Storm Report 2022

The impasse continues between Saharan air and cyclone development. Disturbance Eighteen is dredging airborne sand, currently centred 500 miles west-sou’west of the Cape Verde Islands, westbound at 18 knots. The disturbance currently has limited organisation as dry air is drawn into the convection cycle. This is set to track west over the next few days to cross the Leeward Islands on Saturday night but tropical development is not expected.

Stand easy.
