New development set to leave African coast

| Storm Report 2022

Disturbance Eighteen is now just 12 hours steaming time west of the Leeward Islands, sprinting west at 25 knots. Both advanced ground speed and sand will prevent development as it moves into the Caribbean overnight.

A new disturbance is shaping up to slip the African coast in the next 24-48 hours. The Saharan air blockade of the tropical Atlantic seems to be weakening and this may have a chance to develop. Early days yet.

Stand easy.
